Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I want to party naked!! How does this nude party thing all work?
A: Step 1: First you can subscribe to our newsletter to receive email announcements about our upcoming parties!
Step 2: Register for the event, at which point we will collect basic information and possibly run an authorization of your credit/debit card. (Registration is usually free.)
Step 3: We review all the registrations and distribute tickets as we make up the guest list, about 1-2 weeks prior to the event. This is when you will receive info on purchasing the ticket(s) you requested.
Please note: The registration / authorization step is a precautionary measure, and we reserve the right to accept or deny any request without an explanation. All sales are final.
Q: What does the cost of the nude party include?
A: Generally at every party, there is: Open bar, finger food, body paints, music, dancing, meeting great people and more! ![]()
Q: Do I have to be naked to attend the parties?
A: More or less, yes. But, if an individual isn’t quite ready to be nude in all their glory, then he/she can use a towel or sarong to cover as much as they wish to feel more comfortable.
Q: Do I have to be a member of Young Naturists America to attend?
A: No, membership is not required. However there will typically be a discounted ticket price for members. Membership is not only a way to get discounts, but most importantly, a great way to support YNA and our work! The cost of membership is $22/year. Click here to purchase a YNA membership!
Q: So…this isn’t an orgy? Sex party? Swinger party?
A: No! Our parties are just like any regular party, except that everyone happens to be without clothes, and we have 0 tolerance for inappropriate sexual behavior.
Q: What if I get visibly aroused during the party?
A: You shall be lynched! >:[ KIDDING, haha. Cover up with a towel, and just take a deep breath and relax until the moment passes. Walking around with an erection like it’s one of your best assets is a no-no.
Q: Will there be a place to store my stuff? What about my cell phone / money / wallet?
A: We provide a room or area where you can change as well as bags to store your clothes/belongings in. If you're in need of a way to carry your cash / phone, we now have YNA waterproof string pouches that can be worn around the neck or wrapped around the wrist for sale at most events for $10. Felicity also suggests a stylish sequined fanny pack like hers because she’s trying to start a new trend.
(Note: we cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen items, so we suggest leaving your laptop or prized gadgets at home.)
Q: What should I bring with me to the next nude party?
A: Please bring: a towel or sarong to sit on, a valid license, and enough clothes to get you there!
Q: Is photography / a camera allowed at the parties?
A: No, simply because the presence of cameras makes many people uncomfortable. Only the party organizers or people from the media (with permission obtained first) can take photos. Snapping pictures of people without their knowledge and permission will result in confiscation of your camera / phone to delete photos, and you will be asked to leave.
Q: I’m 35, 45, 55, 65. Am I too old to attend your nude parties?
A: Nope! We do not have an age limit. While many YNA'ers are young, we also welcome the young-at-heart. Though the average age is 30ish, we have at least a few guests in every age group.
Q: Are single guys allowed?
A: Yes! (It’s not a couples-only thing.) However, it’s important to us to have a decent male/female ratio. Due to the increasingly huge response we get, this means having to limit the number of people we invite, but we do the best we can to include everyone.
Q: I really want to go to the party, but I don’t have anyone to go with me, and I won’t know anyone… Awkward turtles?? What can I do?
A: Come anyway, we don’t bite! Most of the naturists we know are very friendly, open, non-judgmental people! We also suggest signing up to volunteer with set-up for the party an hour or 2 before, so you can meet a couple of nice people in a less intimidating situation.
Q: I have a burning question, and it’s not answered here!
A: Email us at: youngnaturists[at]gmail.com If you try to contact us and do not hear back within 48 hours, please send us another email. We get many emails daily so, regrettably, one will occasionally get lost in the shuffle.
Our nude parties are not sexual in nature. The human body is nothing to be ashamed of and we believe that social nudism and social nudity are completely natural! Just because everyone, yes everyone, men and women, will be naked it does not mean that it is a sexually charged event. Be respectful, use common sense and don’t do anything that you would not do at any other bar, club or party! Again Nudism & Naturism have nothing to with sexuality. We work hard to create a safe and welcoming environment … we have “O” tolerance for any misbehavior of any kind! One strike and you are out – so just keep that in mind before attending our next nudist event or naked party!
Nude Parties
Nude parties are a great way to gather with friends and relax without any barriers. Most of these parties are planned in the exact same manner that clothing-mandatory parties are planned. Guests are welcomed into a comfortable environment where they can socialize, perhaps sample food, and sip on wine or other beverages. There may or may not be special activities or games planned.
Some nude parties may be theme-based. In this case, get creative when coming up with your costume. You may use body paint or fake tattoos to decorate your skin. You may simply use your hairstyle and cosmetics to present an image that correlates with the theme.
Swingers Parties vs. Nude Parties
Those uninformed about nude parties are often quick to lump them into the same category as swinger parties. Parties thrown by swingers are held for the purpose of sexual exchange, but that is not the case with a nude party. A party for naturists or nudists will have nothing to do with sex.
There may be swingers present at the nude party, but they generally know the difference between swinger and nudist events. Basically, what a person does with their sex life is not important. What matters is learning the rules of behavior before attending a nude party or event.
Nude Parties – How Comfortable are You?
Nude parties might not be the best way to make your introduction to the nudist community. If you have never been in a group of naked people before, and the idea seems overwhelming, then an alternative is to introduce yourself to the concept in small groups of friends you feel comfortable with. It is natural for the eye to wander as you first start interacting with others in the nude. It is also natural to feel a bit self-conscious, though it helps to have a solid acceptance and love for your body image prior to going into this lifestyle.
No matter how comfortable you think you will be in this environment, it is a good idea to hang out with nudists in a smaller group before attending your first nude party. If you react a bit differently than expected you can get over your quirks in the company of supported friends.
Ideally, you will interact with the other guests at a nude party just as you would interact with guests at any other type of party. You will introduce yourself to new people, joke around, tell stories, and share your life. You might enjoy great food and delicious drinks and go home with a smile on your face.
Taking Pictures at Nude Parties
The one thing that may be different about a nude party is the issue of snapping pictures. Remember, other guests will make a debut in the background even if you just snap pictures of yourself. Ask the host if pictures are allowed, and never post online without getting clear authorization even if photography is permitted.
Enjoying the Naked Party
Take in the natural scenery when attending your first nude party. If the party is outdoors, notice how the grass, leaves, sand, waves, and other natural elements around you smell, look, and feel fresher in your natural state. Do not focus on the fact that the party is full of nude people. Focus on how you feel, how connected you are to your own body, and how many new friends you are making. Your level of enjoyment will tell you whether nude parties are for you or not.
