Nude Trip Take-Off
Michal Slaby is a newdist artist working towards a naturist aesthetic. He is currently traveling Europe to document naturism in as many forms as he can find.

Let me start off by saying that Lufthansa has impeccable service. The first thing I saw when I got in line to check my bag was a message on the monitor admitting that all of the day’s flights had been oversold and asking if there might not perhaps be some kind person in line who just happened to have a flexible schedule and who might be willing to give up his seat. I wondered what they would offer in return.
When I got to the front of the line I noticed a representative of the airline trying to explain something to a tall young man. I should say he was trying to convince him of something. Nothing was offered to me when I went to check my bags. Heading down the escalator to the gates I noticed the young man in front of me. I asked him if he had given up his seat. He said he had agreed to it in principle but he would have to wait and see. It might not be necessary. I immediately asked him what they had offered.
“400 dollars,” said the man, “if they have room on the next flight. If they have to get a hotel for me, it’s 800.” I gave him a look to show that I was impressed. “You would take it, right?” he asked. I pretended to consider it for a moment. I emphatically nodded my head.
“Did you bring it up?” I asked. “Or did they?”
“They asked me,” said the man. “At first I said no but then they told me about the money. Did they ask you?” I shook my head.
“If they didn’t ask me that means they must be safe,” I thought out loud. “I wonder how many other young men they asked before they saw you.”
“I don’t know,” said the man. “I’m supposed to come back in half an hour.” I smiled knowingly. I had a feeling the man was being led on a leash.
“Are you visiting Europe or going home?” I asked. The man obviously had a German accent.
“I’m going home,” he replied. He had come for a wedding in the Hamptons. “It was a lot of fun,” he said. His smile implied there was more to the story. “What about you?”
I told the man about Young Naturists America. I told him about our new app, My Nude World. It told him it was my mission to try to get to as many places in Europe as possible on this nude trip. He looked impressed. He asked me if nude hiking trails were part of the database. He looked like he kept in shape. I admitted to him I didn’t know but I told him that they should be. And they would be. If I have anything to do with it.
The man wished me luck. I told him to enjoy his 400 dollars. Or 800. Although I think I spotted the poor fellow on the plane. I can’t be sure. I had already had the vodka, the white wine, and the cognac. Like I said. Impeccable service.
